About the artwork:

A sequel to the painting "I'm Treading Water" (2022), a painting about feeling stuck in the same place and not making progress. "Reaching the Surface" signifies being able to see a brighter future ahead, finally reaching the end of stagnancy. Although not completely out of the water yet, there is a clear path that is being taken.
